The theme of Jaws is Horror. Jaws is very suspenseful and not really scary but more of a mysterious feeling throughout the whole story. Peter Benchley usually keeps the writings he writes on the horror based side. Jaws always wondering what was going to happen next, I just couldn't stop reading and reading, the suspense was just too much to put the book down.
Theme:
The theme of Jaws is Man vs. Nature. In this case the nature is a 30 foot long great-white. Nature ends up messing with Man, Man gets angry and for the safety of his people he goes and tries to kill nature. Nature and Man have an intense battle it looks like Nature might win but Man comes on top victorious!
